When Chris tells you he is the quarterback of your event he not messing around. The energy that Chris brought to our reception was contagious! The dance floor was packed all night, and we received countless compliments from our guests about how much fun they had. The lighting effects and sound quality were top-notch, creating a festive and celebratory atmosphere that we will never forget. Our guests also loved the 360-photo booth. “I am a true believer that a DJ can make or break your wedding (or any event). It kills me when someone says "oh we just hired the cheapest one we could find. I mean all they do is play a playlist" - I'm sorry, but you are absolutely wrong if you believe this. DJs set the tone for your wedding/event. If you have a DJ that's there to just play music off a playlist you've created, there is a good chance you're not going to be happy with your event. We hired Chris because we wanted so much more than music from our DJ - we wanted lighting, someone to direct the crowd at all times & keep the event organized, fun introductions for our Bridal party, and of course, fun/modern music. Chris and his team delivered all of these services and exceeded our expectations. From our first meeting until the end of our wedding, Chris has been so fun and easy to work with. Our wedding ran so smoothly, the lighting was perfect, he recorded our vows for us (an awesome surprise!), sent pictures and videos from our wedding, and the most important part: our guests were dancing for three hours straight. Chris did not play one song that made people leave the dance floor. We had quite a few people tell us that our wedding was one of the most fun weddings they've ever been to, and I have Washburn Entertainment to thank for that. “I've worked with Chris many times over the years while working weddings at a winery and I've seen the difference he can make in a couple's wedding day. When it came time for my own wedding, there was no question who my husband and I wanted to hire as our DJ. My husband and I booked Chris and his staff for our May 21, 2022 wedding at The Ginny Lee Cafe and could not have been happier with the service! We also booked him for the photo booth, raw footage of the ceremony and speeches, and videography. From the day we hired Chris and his staff I knew we would have nothing to worry about and he made the whole process so easy. “Settle in for a long one, although the other previous 5-star ratings speak for themselves, I must add. Chris and his staff went utterly above and beyond for my wedding. Not only at the wedding itself but from the moment I inquired about him almost two years ago. During that long process, he always knew who I was, knew exactly when my wedding was and what we had talked about, and never forgot any detail at all. When I told him I wanted to make a slideshow for my mother and grandfather instead of a dance he said, "you've got a lot on your plate, would you like for me to make it instead?" OF COURSE I jumped all over it - all I had to do was give him the song and it was absolutely perfect and all three of us - my mother, grandfather, and myself were crying on the dance floor watching it. I changed first dance songs on him last minute - no problem. Needed our new song cut down and processional edited - he was on it! Then sent them to me on the agreed upon date to listen and review and, they were exactly what I had asked him to do! In fact, I wanted a fade out instead of a cut off and he was on it and on the day of we got our perfect fade out! He was perfect and spot on with our music tastes - an eclectic, strange range - playing disney instrumental before the ceremony, bluegrass and blues, elvis and michael buble and then almost entirely Rupaul for our reception (at least from what I remember!) there was enough for everyone! He was incredible at reading the crowd, spoke when necessary, and mostly just hung in the background making sure people stayed engaged and present. The highlight, BY FAR, is his use of TVs. He had taken footage of us leaving our ceremony, posing for pictures alone and with our party, and a little during our first dance which was so essential for me to have some concrete memories of the day. It all goes by so quickly, and I had a bit of wedding amnesia, and his video and pictures were essential to commit the day to memory. But OF COURSE we got all the raw footage he took in a Dropbox for us to review and use as we'd like. His staff were friendly, professional, Tori was just the right amount of professional and fun - I dare say she upstaged me at my own wedding with her sweet, sweet dance moves and I loved every second of it! THANK YOU CHRIS & TEAM! I just wish we had more family events that we could hire you for more often!!”

“Chris and Tori were fabulous to work with. We worked mostly with Tori and she is THE BEST. I truly can't say enough great things about her. We planned our wedding from Canada, not really knowing any of our vendors, but I never once worried about Washburn Entertainment/ Tori, I knew she was going to bring it and she brought it ten times over. The thought and care from her that goes into making your event absolutely perfect is impossible not to see. The energy and "vibe" of an event is so important to me, and the way she was able to keep it going all night and shift based on what the current needs of the crowd were is a true talent - and why you need someone like Tori and Washburn, rather than a Dj that is only going to play your personal favorite songs regardless if there's a dancefloor going or not. She had ALL the generations out there all night, virtually no one left early (and that says a lot for some of our family who I know love a 9:30 bed time!) The whole wedding even boo-ed when the last song was announced at midnight - not the bad kind of boo, but because no one wanted the party to end!! Thank you again to Washburn entertainment & Tori for making our wedding absolutely fabulous, our guests were raving the next day. “Chris and the team at Washburn Entertainment were the best possible choice for our wedding! Chris made our night truly special. He was extremely detail-oriented and helped guide us through the planning process to ensure he had our event vibe down. We didn't have a ton of guidance to offer, only we wanted to have an awesome dance party, and Chris went above and beyond. He not only had the perfect music to keep the party going all night, but he added extra touches (like taking fun videos and posting them to TV screens almost immediately for everyone to enjoy). He kept us updated all night on timing for different events (dances, dessert, etc.) and kept guests engaged for a 4-hour open dance floor. He truly was the "MC" of the wedding! All this and our venue was half way across the country, so he didn't have a chance to see it or get to know any of the other event staff before the big day, he still did an amazing job. I highly recommend Chris and the WE team. Our guests can't stop talking about how great our DJ was!”

“We were very happy to have chosen Washburn Entertainment to DJ our wedding. Our wedding was remote, outdoors, and using a generator for power. We were worried about a DJ's ability to perform in an unusual environment, but Chris excelled. He brought uplights (which we were skeptical would work, but were great) and foam glowstick wands that came out about halfway through the dancing. He kept the energy going and honored our very stringent music requests. The other thing I really appreciated was his calm demeanor. He was very on top of it the days leading up to the wedding, and during the wedding he was happy, communicative, and relaxed (except when he was hyping the crowd!). Thanks DJ Washburn! “The fact that the reviews are all 5 stars speaks volumes. From the moment that Chris and his staff arrived on the property, they were fun and professional. My sister was the bride for this wedding and I was helping run the show before everything started. They brought the latest and greatest equipment. Set up super fast and instantly connected with every guest. I was surprised when 3 people showed up and I didn’t know why he needed a staff. After the “party” got started...I realized it was needed. Tory and Chris made sure that we were all engaged having a great time and took awesome videos. From the tv’s to the lighting to the inside family jokes...they made sure everyone had a great time. When DJ Washburn grabs the mike it isn't just to hear himself speak. He's helping to shape and cultivate the mood of the party or reception with just the right touch. It never feels forced or cookie cutter. The same can be said for the staff. Whether it's engaging guests to get on the floor or casually wiping up a spill from an overzealous aunt or uncle the team is involved in the festivities I'm the best sense of.the word.
